Macallan , once again is teaming up with legendary british artist Sir Peter Blake ona new 1967 Whisky release, Sir Peter Blake the 'Godfather' of british pop art to create this latest collectors artistic expression called "the Anecdotes of ages collection" , This is to celebrate the legacy and rich history of both Sir Richard Blake and Macallan , a storied distillery .
This collection chose 1967 barrel to reflect the same year when Sir Peter Blake's work transcended the art world. these unique 13 bottles with prized 54 year old scotch was auctioned off at Sotheby's auction house and sold for US $437,500.00. Macallan decided to bottle another 322 bottles for retail sale .This is one of 322 bottles , this bottle features reproduction labels but same 1967 whisky inside .
